Are you competent?

As all of you are aware in the past this is becoming more and more of an issue. There have been appraisers coming from afar to do appraisals in areas that they may not be competent. Lately I am being asked, where, is my office. This is causing me to lose business because of the question. I inform them that I am competent and that I have done many appraisals in the said area, but for some reason it is not good enough and they in turn cancel the order from me and get a different appraiser.

Is anyone else seeing this in their area?
